The Kiteboarder's Workbook is more than a simple book! It has been designed to add professionalism to the services offered by IKO affiliated centers and instructors, while helping students from their first steps to becoming independent riders. Contents of the workbook lay on the worldwide IKO approved teaching method that IKARUS follows. |
| The 52 color pages workbook comprise pictures, drawings and exercices. Students can use the workbook after the course to enhance their knowledge. They can do the exercices on their own and correct them (the answers are at the end of the workbook) or they can correct them with their instructors. The exercises can also be done during the lesson (for example when there is not enough wind). It is divided into 4 major sections. The first 3 correspond to the IKO training programs and student standards, which show the achievements the students accomplish during their training. The 3 Standard Kiteboarding programs are: 1. Discovery Kiteboarder Program (Level 1) 2. Intermediate Kiteboarder Program (Level 2) 3. Independent Kiteboarder Program (Level 3) The 4th section is a supplement, with practical and technical information such as kiteboard terminology, line length, beach access, first time alone, useful knots, international kiteboarding signs, dictionary of kiteboarding terms and more.
